(MSC News)--Two semi-trucks collide on an Atchison County, Missouri road, sending a Saint Joseph man to the hospital with serious injuries.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol says it happened around 12:20 Thursday afternoon when 28-year-old Levi Johnson was southbound on Route N, about two miles south of U.S. Highway 36. The Patrol says he failed to yield while making a left turn, causing his truck to collide with another semi, driven by 49-year-old Thomas Hurst, of Tarkio.
Johnson was flown by helicopter to Saint Joseph's Mosaic Life Care for treatment of his injuries.
Hurst was not hurt.
Neither driver was buckled up at the time of the wreck.
