(KAIR)--A parole violation leads to multiple additional charges for an Atchison man.
Atchison Police Chief Mike Wilson says it was Thursday morning when they took 50-year-old Gary Deen Longbreak into custody at his home in the 1900 block of Harper.
“Police officers as well as Kansas Department of Corrections investigators went to that residence—they did locate a firearm, which was unlawful for Longbreak to possess,” Wilsons said. “He was taken into custody on a charge of violation of parole.”
In addition, Wilson says the firearm was stolen from St. Joseph, Missouri back in April. Now, Longbreak faces charges of possession of stolen property as well as possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
Additionally, “During the search of that residence a quantity of methamphetamine was also discovered,” Wilson said. “And he faces a charge of possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine as well as possession of drug paraphernalia.
Longbreak was booked into the Atchison County Jail.
