Enid woman dies in collision

An Enid woman was killed in a collision at 3:07 p.m. Thursday just north of Coal, 4 miles west and 3.8 miles south of Pond Creek in Grant County, on U.S.  Highway 81.

Carlena Lane, 37, of Enid was pronounced dead at the scene. She was driving a 2008 Ford Focus.

Amy Leigh Holder, 28, of Enid was driving a 1999 Oldsmobile Bravada which collided with Lane's car. She was transported by Air Evac to OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City in serious condition with head, leg and trunk injuries.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol is continuing its investigation of the accident.

Both women were pinned in their vehicles. Holder was pinned for 35 minutes before being extricated by the Kremlin and Pond Creek Fire Departments. Lane was pinned for three hours.
