(KLZA)-- A legendary golfer will help with efforts to raise funds for the McRae Community Center / Waterfowlers Hall of Fame building in Mound City.

According to the Mound City News Tom Watson, will co-host the Community Building of Mound City Fall Classic on Saturday, September 10th. 

Watson, known best for his five British Open titles in golf has been a member of the Waterfowlers Hall of Fame since 2009 and regularly attends the annual Ducks Unlimited banquet and Waterfowlers Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony in Mound City. Watson has been hunting in the Mound City area since his youth.

All 22 team slots for the tournament have been filled, but spectator tickets are available. Only 200 will be sold.
