(KAIR)--A trip to the hospital for a Huron woman, following a single vehicle crash in Atchison.

It happened early Saturday morning when Melissa Merrill collided with a utility pole.

Police Chief Mike Wilson tells MSC News that happened as she was westbound on Spring Street, at the intersection with 7th Street.

Merrill was transported to the Atchison Hospital by ambulance for the treatment of facial injuries.

The wreck happened around 4:15 in the morning.
