(KLZA)-- A 32-year-old Kansas City, Missouri man was seriously injured in a two-vehicle Holt County wreck late Friday night. 

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says Peter McGrath was southbound on Interstate 29, about six miles east of Oregon, Missouri when he attempted to pass a car driven by 39-year-old Francisco Nuno-Romero of South Sioux City, Nebraska, sideswiping the other vehicle. 

The McGrath car traveled off the right side of the road, struck a rock wall and overturned numerous times before coming to rest on its wheels.  

McGrath was transported to Mosaic Life Care in St. Joseph.  Nuno-Romero was not hurt.
