(KAIR)--Weeks after sustaining a gunshot wound to the leg, an Atchison man is now behind bars.

25-year-old Duane Seymour was sentenced last week in Atchison County District Court to six months in the county jail on a domestic assault charge after causing what authorities say was $2,500 in medical expenses to a female victim.

Seymour was shot by Brian Boldridge, of Atchison, June 3. That case is still pending.
