(KAIR)--Guilty pleas are entered by a Valley Falls Woman in connection with meth and firearms related charges
That happened Friday in Atchison County District Court when 35-year-old Nicole Fox pleaded guilty to felony charges stemming from two cases.
Sentencing is set for August 12th.
Fox was arrested by the Atchison County Sheriff's Office following a June 4th shooting at a rural Valley Falls residence which left a man injured.
Authorities at that time said she was in possession of a firearm, although she was a convicted felon, and in possession of methamphetamine. It was that drug that the Sheriff's Office alleges she smuggled into the Atchison County Jail by concealing it internally, leading to her arrest on June 12th while in custody.
According to the Atchison County Attorney's Office, Fox pleaded to charges of criminal possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, in connection with the shooting, and trafficking contraband into a correctional facility in connection with the second case.
