( MSC News)--A St.Joseph man was killed Saturday morning in a single-vehicle wreck on I-70 in Saline County, Missouri.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says 60-year-old Larry Pierce was eastbound when his pickup truck ran off the roadway and down an embankment.  The vehicle struck a tree and rolled onto its side.

Pierce, who was wearing a seatbelt, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The wreck was reported at 7:20 Saturday morning.
