(KMZA)--Two Pottawatomie County men are facing drug charges following a joint investigation by several agencies.
Pottawatomie County Sheriff Greg Riat says 26-year-old Onaga resident Tyler Lee Newman and 31-year-old Wamego resident Otto Eugene Tisdale were arrested July 1st following a joint investigation by the Sheriff’s Office, Wamego Police Department and Kansas Department of Wildlife and Parks.
The two men were arrested after their pickup truck was stopped on county road in rural Wamego.
Riat says a search of the vehicle was conducted and a quantity of marijuana was seized as well as two firearms, one being loaded.
Newman and Tisdale were arrested for distribution of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a hallucinogenic drug and no drug tax stamp. In addition, Tisdale was arrested for criminal possession of a weapon by a felon.
Both men were booked into the Pottawatomie County,but have since been released on bond. Tisdale is currently free on a $20,000 bond and Newman on a $5,000 bond.
