(MSC News)--A St. Joseph woman accused of striking and killing a pedestrian on I-229 in April has pleaded guilty to a charge of involuntary manslaughter.
The St. Joseph News Press reports 25-year-old Jacey Grom entered the plea Thursday in a Buchanan County courtroom.
Prosecutors says she was driving under the influence and at 110 miles an hour when she struck 24-year-old Corbin Watts.
Police say her blood alcohol level still tested at .134 percent several hours after the accident.
Sentencing was set for August 17th.
Grom remains free on bond.
