(KLZA)-- Pawnee City Mayor Charlie Hatfield cast the deciding vote, approving a three-percent pay increase for City Employees Monday evening. The raise is for the next fiscal year. 

Council members John Dahlgren and new Council member Rick Helms cast no votes. Both council members did not agree with a $75 bonus for employees. 

The Council also learned a new pump in a water well did not fix the problems. The next step is to replace the rods in the well. There will be no cost to the City.

In addition, due to the weather conditions water well #1 is being put 
back on-line temporarily.
