(KNZA)--A Topeka man is facing multiple charges following an early Tuesday morning traffic stop in Jackson County.
According to Sheriff Tim Morse, a deputy stopped a GMC Sierra pickup near 150th Road and U.S. Highway 75 shortly before 3 a.m.
The driver, 49-year-old Eric Poole, was taken into custody at the scene.
Poole was arrested on four counts of aggravated failure to comply with the Offender Registration Act and seven additional counts of failure to comply with the same law. He also faces charges of possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, driving while suspended for a third or subsequent offense, and failure to provide proof of vehicle liability insurance.
Following his arrest, Poole was booked into the Jackson County Jail.
The case remains under investigation by the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office.
