(KNZA)-- A longtime Hiawatha teacher and coach is being remembered.

According to an obituary from Chapel Oaks Funeral Home, Chris Diller died Thursday at the age of 52.

Diller served the USD 415 school district for 18 years. He was a special education teacher and served as a coach for the school district.

A celebration of life service is scheduled for Tuesday, May 5 at 10 a.m. at First United Methodist Church in Hiawatha.

Friends may call at Chapel Oaks Funeral Home after 12 noon Sunday, May 3, where the family will meet with friends from 5 until 7 p.m. that afternoon.

Diller is survived by his wife, Heidi, and their four children.
