(KAIR)--A Kansas City, Missouri woman was seriously injured in a two-vehicle crash late Tuesday evening in Buchanan County, Missouri.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash occurred shortly after 10:15 p.m. on Interstate 29 within the city limits of St. Joseph.
Investigators say the 24-year-old woman was traveling northbound when her SUV rear-ended a semi-truck that had slowed due to stopped traffic ahead.
She was not wearing a seat belt and was transported to Mosaic Life Care in St. Joseph with suspected serious injuries.
The driver of the semi-truck, an 80-year-old man from Cheyenne, Wyoming, was not injured.
The Highway Patrol says it no longer releases the names of crash victims.
