1985 Holt County MO murder case proceeds

(KLZA)-- Kirby David, a Missouri Department of Corrections inmate who was originally from Oregon, Missouri is scheduled for a court appearance on Wednesday, June 3 in Holt County Court in Oregon, Missouri on a charge in connection with the September, 1985 murder of Peggy Horseman.

 

David waived his formal arraignment in the case on April 8 in Circuit Court in Holt County and will appear on June 3rd for a plea/trial setting and case review at 10:30.

 

Kirby David was charged in connection with the murder of Peggy Horseman in July of 2024. Horeseman was found shot to death during the early morning hours of September 27, 1985 at the King Oil Station in Mound City where she worked as the night clerk.

 

She was found in the back of the store, having been shot in the back of the head.

 

David is currently serving a 20-year sentence in the Missouri Department of Corrections on a felony charge of distribution of a controlled substance.
