(KMZA)--A Linn man was killed Saturday night in a crash involving a riding lawn mower and a UTV in Washington County.
According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, the crash happened just before 8:30 p.m. at 864 Indian Road, about six miles west of Linn.
The Patrol says 50-year-old Benjamin Goeckel was stopped on the east side of the road facing north when he turned left into the roadway. His John Deere riding lawn mower was then struck by a northbound Polaris Ranger side-by-side.
Goeckel was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the UTV, 37-year-old Jeremy Helms of Linn, and a 9-year-old passenger suffered possible injuries but were not taken to a hospital.
