(KNZA)--Several additional candidates have filed for positions up for election this fall in Brown County.
According to the Brown County Clerk’s Office, Emily Kloepper, a rural Hiawatha Republican, has filed to retain her position as Register of Deeds. Kloepper was selected in February by the Brown County Republican Precinct Committee to fill the vacancy created by the resignation of Nellie Brockhoff. The November election will determine whether she continues in the role through January of 2029.
In other filings, Jessica Ann Homan has entered the race for mayor of Fairview, becoming the first candidate to file for the position currently held by Ron Rettele. Jesse Davis has also filed for one of two open Fairview City Council seats, joining Douglas Bletscher in the race.
Candidates have until noon Monday, June 1st, to file at the Brown County Clerk’s Office. The primary election is scheduled for August 4th, with the general election set for November 3rd.
