Friday morning alert: Portion of U.S. 75 in Jackson Co closed for flooding

(KNZA)--Heavy rainfall has led to flooding which, in turn, means this Friday morning's closure of a stretch of Jackson County's U.S. Highway 75.

Jackson County Sheriff Tim Morse, in a release issued around 4:30 this morning, said "US-75 is closed from K-9 Highway to K-20 from flooding," with Morse adding that "several road[s] in northern Jackson County may have water over the road,"

Morse reminds motorists to "not attempt to cross...any road when flood water is over the road."
