Change of venue granted in Mound City MO murder case

(KLZA)-- Holt County Circuit Court Judge Corey Herron has approved a change of venue request for Kirby David who is charged with murder in the death of Peggy J. Horsemen in September, 1985.

Horseman was the night clerk at the King Oil Station at Mound City. She was found shot to death early on September 27, 1985.

David was charged in the case on July 29, 2024.

The trial will be held in Nodaway County, which is a part Missouri's Fourth Judicial District.

Kirby David, a former resident of Oregon, Missouri, is currently serving a prison sentence in Missouri on a felony charge of distribution of a controlled substance in a protected area.

A trial date has not been set.
