Falls City Rec is a volunteer nonprofit group that organizes youth baseball, softball, soccer and basketball programs in Falls City.
First State Bank awarded the Believe in Local grant through their partnership with the First Interstate BancSystem Foundation according to a social media post.
Falls City Rec was nominated for the grant by local Associate Community Banker Shandelle Gooch.
In receiving the grant, Falls City Recreation Treasurer Derek Leyden said the grant will open the door wider, offering low-cost registration, safer equipment, better fields, and new programs for kids who haven't had a chance to participate before.
First Interstate Bank is a member of FDIC, and and Equal Housing Lender.
