According to a release from the Pottawatomie County Sheriff's office, deputies were dispatched shortly after 3:15 Wednesday afternoon after receiving a report of a reckless motorcyclist in the area of Little Noxie and McDonald Roads in rural Onaga.
During the investigation, the release says deputies learned a female victim had been battered earlier Wednesday and stabbed with a knife during a separate domestic violence incident Tuesday at a Pottawatomie County State Lake.
The suspect, identified as 35-year-old Jon Harmon, was later located at a residence in the 600 block of Main Street in Emmett. He was taken into custody just before 10:00 Wednesday night on charges of aggravated domestic battery and domestic battery, along with a Shawnee County warrant charging him with drug offenses.
Following his arrest, Harmon was booked into Pottawatomie County Jail.
The investigation remains ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to contact Detective Martinez at the Pottawatomie County Sheriff’s Office at 785-457-3353 or submit an anonymous tip through the department’s Crime Stoppers page.
Assisting with Harmon's apprehension were the Kansas Highway Patrol and the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office.
