(KNZA)--The Brown County Sheriff's Office will auction off abandoned vehicles on Wednesday, July 1, at 1 p.m. The auction will be held in the west parking lot of the Sheriff's Office in Hiawatha.

The public may inspect the vehicles at any time before the auction. All vehicles will be sold as-is, where-is, with no warranties or guarantees.

Prospective bidders may register beginning at noon on July 1 in the Sheriff's Office lobby. Winning bidders must pay before removing their vehicle. Payment will be accepted by cash, check, or money order, and a receipt will be issued as proof of purchase.

All purchased vehicles must be removed within seven days. The Brown County Sheriff's Office is not responsible for accidents during the auction.
