(KLZA)--The Pawnee City, Nebraska City Council is seeking to fill a vacant council seat following the resignation of Council Member Vickie Zelenka, effective immediately.

Mayor Charlie Hatfield is accepting applications from residents interested in serving the remainder of the term, which runs from July 13, 2026, through December 2028.

Applications are available at the Pawnee City Clerk's Office, located at 605 G Street, and must be returned by 4:30 p.m. on Friday, July 10.
