(KLZA)--The Future Business Leaders of America Collegiate Outstanding Chapter Award is a prestigious national-level program designed to recognize collegiate chapters for their dedication, contributions, and activities throughout the academic year. 

The top level of the recognition program – Outstanding Chapter – is reserved for the ten highest-scoring chapters that meet the minimum 3,500 point threshold.

At the recent Collegiate FBLA National Leadership Conference held in Las Vegas, the Peru State College Chapter was recognized as the sixth-best chapter in the country. Last year, the chapter was recognized as an outstanding chapter but did not finish in the top ten. This is out of nearly 200 chapters nationwide.

Dr. Sheri Grotrian is the local chapter adviser.
To receive the top honor, Grotrian and her chapter members had to track their activities throughout the year that contributed to their leadership, engagement, and professional development. Each activity was assigned a point value based on its impact.
