(KLZA)-- The Richardson County Sheriff's Office Humboldt Volunteer Fire Department, Humboldt Rescue Squad, Richardson County Emergency Management Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railroad and Levi Koch were involved in a collaborative effort Wednesday evening to find a missing vulnerable adult from Humboldt.
At about 6:30 a call was received about the missing person who was last seen walking along the railroad tracks in Humboldt.
The Sheriff's Office contacted the railroad who assisted by monitoring the area along the tracks.
About 30 minute later BNSF reported a possible siting near 710 Trail and 641 Boulevard.
The involved agencies converged on the area and at approximately 8:20 p.m., the individual was located and was safe.
The individual was transported to Humboldt for a precautionary medical examination.
The Sheriff's Office thanked all those involved in the search.
Sheriff Rick Hardesty says the Department is grateful for the continued partnership and support of the emergency responders and community members who help keep Richardson County safe.
