Auburn School Board votes to access additional base growth percentage

(KLZA)-- The Auburn Board of Education approved a resolution Monday night to increase the school districts base growth percentage by up to an additional 6 percent or other maximum amount as permitted by law.

An amended motion to take all necessary action in regards to the selection of Clark Enersen as the Performance Criteria Developer and approve the proposed agreement for potential multiple school facilities additions, renovations and maintenance projects pursuant to the Districts Construction Alternatives Act and Board Policy was approved on a unanimous vote.

The Auburn School Board members also approved the purchase and installation of three roof top compressors at a total cost of $58,337.

The purchase of a 5-tray salad bar for Calvert Elementary School, not to exceed $12,160 was also approved by the Board.

The Certified Staff Handbook for the 2026-27 school year was approved as was the Classified Staff Handbook and the handbooks for Calvert Elementary School and the Secondary Student Handbooks and the Student-Parent Activity Handbook.

Prices for school meals for the 2026-27 school year were approved. Breakfast prices for K-5 and 6 – 12 grade students will increase 10-cents each to $2.70 per meal. Adult prices remain the same at $2.90. Lunch prices for students are increase a dime for each category to $3.70 for grades K-5, $3.95 for Secondary students and $4.75 for adults. Milk prices will be increased a nickel to 60-cents.
