(KAIR)--A 19-year-old Atchison man is facing child-sex related charges after allegedly sending obscene images to a 14-year-old girl.

That's according to Atchison Police Chief Mike Wilson who, in a release, says 19-year-old Leland Cash was arrested Sunday afternoon at 4:00 at a residence in the 900 block of South 4th Street, following an investigation into illicit images sent to the teen over a social media platform. 

Cash, taken into custody on a charge of promoting obscenity, was booked into the Atchison County Jail. 

According to Wilson, additional charges are pending as the investigation continues.
