(KLZA)--The Johnson-Brock Board of Education approved increasing the prices for meals when they met last week.

A motion to increase the price for both breakfast and lunches by 20-cents failed, with all Board members casting nay votes. 

A second motion to raise the breakfast price 20-cents and the lunch prices by 50-cents also failed on a unanimous vote. 

A third motion to increase the meal prices by approximately 20 percent passed unanimously.
Breakfast prices will increase for Elementary students to $3.25 per meal, up from $2.70;  Middle and High School breakfast will go from $3.10  to $3.75  and adult breakfast prices will increase from $4.75 to $5.70.

Lunch prices for Elementary students will increase from $4.10 to $4.80;  Middle and High School student lunch costs will move to $5.40,  up from the current $4.50  and adult lunch prices are set to increase from $6  to $7.20.

The Board also approved maintaining the current activity admission prices for the 26-27 school year.

A resolution passed to continue the co-op with Nebraska City Public Schools for Boys and girls cross country, softball and boys tennis.

The Johnson-Brock Board also approved renewal of the school districts membership to the Nebraska Rural Community Schools Association at a cost of $850.
