Nemaha County Fair begins Thursday in Seneca

(KMZA)--The Nemaha County Free Fair gets underway Thursday, July 23 at the fairgrounds in Seneca and continues through Monday, with a full schedule of 4-H activities and community events planned throughout the weekend.

One of the highlights comes Saturday evening as Seneca Cruise Night celebrates its 25th year. Classic cars, old-time rock ’n roll, and memories will fill the streets as vehicles follow the traditional cruise route from Highway 36 to 11th Street, down Main Street, and back to 1st Street.

Sunday will feature the 40th Annual Seneca Car Show at Seneca City Park, along with a pedal power tractor pull, the public 4-H Style Revue at the Community Building at 1:30 p.m., and the Barnyard Olympic Games at the fairgrounds.

The annual fair parade is set for Sunday evening at 6:00 along Main Street in downtown Seneca. This year’s theme is “Stars, Stripes and 4-H Forever.”

A rodeo will be held Friday and Saturday evenings at 8:00 at the horse arena.

Carnival games will be available at Skoch Park Saturday from 3 to 7 p.m. and Sunday from noon to 4 p.m.

The fair concludes Monday evening with a family barbecue by the Sabetha FFA Alumni at the livestock arena, followed by the premium auction.
