Robinson, Wednesday, placed under boil water advisory

(KNZA)--The Kansas Department of Health and Environment has issued a boil water advisory for the City of Robinson's public water supply in Brown County.

KDHE says the advisory took effect Wednesday, July 22nd, after a waterline break caused a loss of pressure in the distribution system, a situation that can lead to a drop in chlorine residuals and possible bacterial contamination.

Until further notice, KDHE is asking Robinson water customers to boil water for one minute before drinking or food preparation, or to use bottled water instead.

The advisory will remain in effect until the conditions that placed the system at risk are resolved.
