KDHE says the advisory had been issued Saturday after a waterline break caused a loss of pressure in the distribution system, a situation that can lead to a drop in chlorine residuals and possible bacterial contamination.

According to KDHE, laboratory testing of drinking water samples collected from Valley Falls showed no evidence of bacteriological contamination, and officials say all other conditions that placed the system at risk have been resolved.
