(KLZA)--Alan Smyth has been appointed to fill a vacant seat on the City Council in Pawnee City. 

Smyth was appointed by Mayor Charlie Hatfield to fill the opening created by the resignation of Councilperson Vickie Zelenka. 

 

Jean Kwiatkowski and Bill Crosby had also applied to fill the open position.
