(KNZA)--A Holton man is facing multiple child sex-related charges in Jackson County.
According to online court records, 47-year-old Samuel Roberts is charged with ten felony counts of sexual exploitation of a child.
The charges were filed last month following an investigation by the Kansas Bureau of Investigation and the Holton Police Department.
Roberts was arrested July 7 by the Jackson County Sheriff's Office on a Jackson County warrant charging him with the alleged crimes.
According to the criminal complaint, Roberts is accused of possessing photographs depicting children under the age of 18 engaged in sexually explicit conduct. The alleged offenses are reported to have occurred between November 3, 2024, and February 6, 2025.
His next court appearance is scheduled for August 13. Roberts remains in the Jackson County Jail on a $250,000 bond.
