Valley Falls boil water advisory lifted Wednesday

(KAIR)--Not even 24-hours after it was issued, the boil water advisory for the public water supply system of Valley Falls has been lifted.

That word came late Wednesday morning in a release from the Kansas Department of Health and Environment, saying that water samples tested by KDHE show no signs of contamination, possible any time a loss of pressure happens in the distribution system, which occurred Tuesday due to a Valley Falls waterline break.

A release from the City of Valley Falls says Tuesdays water main break, on Frazier Street, "was caused during utility construction associated with the City's infrastructure improvement project."
