According to a statement from Atchison County Schools of USD 377, communication is a major focus, and new opportunities are being offered for parents to connect with school staff and learn about upcoming events.
To kick off the school year, two parent meetings are scheduled for August 11th. The first meeting, for senior parents and students, will take place at 6:00 p.m. Topics will include senior banners, a new scholarship web page, graduation information, senior trip possibilities, required job shadows, higher education visits, senior pictures, and a chance to meet senior sponsors.
A second meeting will follow at 6:45 p.m. for parents and students who will be attending HCC Tech during the 2026-2027 school year. That meeting will cover release times from classes, communication with teachers, transportation, attendance requirements, and the district’s good standing policy. Only parents of juniors and seniors attending HCC Tech this year are asked to attend the 6:45 meeting.
USD 377 says any information shared at the meetings will also be distributed electronically at a later date. Parents with questions or concerns are encouraged to contact the high school.
