Highway Superintendent Steve Darveau updated the Board on routine maintenance being done on county roads and bridges. The crews have been doing improvement work on the Pony Creek Road which is close to completion. An update was also given on the Dawson NW project.
Sheriff Rick Hardesty discussed the replacement of patrol vehicles and the next fiscal year's budget. The board went into executive session with Hardesty, County Attorney Sheitel and Clerk Eickhoff to review a personnel situation and for the needless injury to the reputation of an individual.
The board will consider annual funding of $5,000 to the Pennsylvania Historical Society, $5,000 to the Quad County Historical Society and $10,000 for the Richardson County Historical Society.
County Clerk Eickhoff presented to the board the FY26-27 budget with each of the county departments proposed budgets. The board will meet with each department in the next few weeks to review their requests
The board received a claim filed by Ron Jordening for medical expenses from February, 16th incident on a sidewalk area on the block of the Richardson County Courthouse. The board voted to forward the claim to the county's insurance carrier.
