Statewide, voters will also decide a constitutional amendment that would change the way Kansas Supreme Court justices are selected.
In Atchison County, voters will decide whether to approve a one-cent countywide sales tax to fund county emergency services.
Jackson County voters will decide whether to renew the county's four-tenths of a percent special retailers' sales tax to continue funding road and bridge improvement projects.
Several local Republican primary races are also on the ballot.
In Atchison County, voters will choose between John Calhoon and Randell Vanderweide for the Republican nomination for Second District County Commissioner. Calhoon was appointed to the position earlier this year to fill an unexpired term. The winner will face Democrat John Settich in November.
In Doniphan County, incumbent First District Commissioner Timothy Collins is challenged by fellow Republicans Roger Hopkins and Ben Leatherman.
In Nemaha County, incumbent First District Commissioner Ben Glace is challenged by fellow Republican Edwin Steinlage.
Holton voters will narrow the field for Position Five on the Holton City Commission. Four candidates are seeking the seat: Darlene Selley, Shawn LeHotta, Jason Murphy, and John Lemon. The top two finishers will advance to the November ballot. The position is currently held by Marilyn Watkins, who did not seek re-election.
Voters in the 61st District will also decide a contested Republican primary for the Kansas House. Incumbent Francis Awerkamp is challenged by Robert Thomas.
The polls will be open Tuesday from 7 in the morning until 7:00 in the evening
