According to a release from Sheriff Tim Morse, the new service replaces the previous Textcaster notification system.
Residents who were signed up for Textcaster will need to register with Hyper-Reach to continue receiving weather alerts, emergency notifications, and other important county updates. Once the transition is complete, messages will no longer be sent through the old Textcaster service.
Morse encourages all residents to sign up for Hyper-Reach as soon as possible to stay informed about emergencies and other information that could affect their safety.
