(KLZA)-- A 31-year-old Salem, Nebraska man has been bound over to Richardson County District Court on a Class 1B felony charge of sexual assault of a child in the first degree.

On Wednesday, Wade Witt appeared in Richardson County Court for a preliminary hearing.

Court documents indicate that on June 9, the father of the juvenile female found Witt in his daughters bedroom after she allegedly snuck him into the house. The father contacted the Falls City Police Department.

Affidavits allege that Witt had sexual intercourse with the girl who is described as a person between the ages of 12 and 16.

Witt is scheduled to appear for arraignment in Richardson County District Court on September 1. He is currently free on a $10 thousand cash bond.

Emily Sisco, the County Attorney in Pawnee County is serving as the special prosecutor in the case.
