(KAIR)--An Atchison man is in custody, arrested this week on child sex-related charges.

Atchison Police Chief Mike Wilson, in a release, identifies the man as 20-year-old Michael A. Fife, arrested Wednesday afternoon on an Atchison County District Court warrant charging him with sexual exploitation of a child.

The arrest came around 2:20 in the 700 block of Atchison's North 9th Street.

Wilson tells MSC News his office assisted the Kansas Bureau of Investigation with Fife's arrest, as the investigation and case belongs to the KBI.

Additional details regarding Fife's alleged crimes are not known as court filings pertaining to the case were not immediately available.

Once in custody, Fife was booked into the Atchison County Jail.

According to jail records, Fife is held on a bond of $500,000.
