Seneca Stutz fire engine trip approved

(KMZA)--The Seneca City Council has approved a trip for the city’s historic 1922 Stutz fire engine to Indianapolis next month.

Fire Department member Robert Olson told the council Wednesday night that the department plans to take the engine to two shows. The trip is scheduled for September 16th through the 20th.

In other business, the council approved 2026 curb and gutter work at a cost not to exceed $85,000 and the appointment of Andrew Sneed to the Seneca Free Library Board. His term is retroactive to May 1st and runs through April 30th, 2030.

The council also approved a special event cereal malt beverage license for the Sts. Peter and Paul Church annual picnic September 6th, along with a resolution allowing a beer garden on city property during the event.
