(KNZA)--An Ozawkie man is facing multiple felony charges in Jefferson County.

Forty-eight-year-old Eric Stone was arrested August fourth by the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office and made his first court appearance last Thursday.

On-line court records show Stone faces five charges stemming from an alleged incident involving an elderly man--including mistreatment of an elder person and aggravated battery. He’s also charged with allegedly threatening a law enforcement officer, interfering with law enforcement and criminal damage to property.

Stone also faces a separate felony theft charge from April, involving the alleged theft of a 2017 Ford Edge from the same person identified in the August case.

Stone remains in the Jefferson County Jail on a 50-thousand-dollar bond and is scheduled for his next court appearance Thursday.
