(KNZA)--The St. Joseph Police Department is investigating an early Tuesday morning shooting in the area of South 33rd Street.

Police say officers responded shortly after 12:30 a.m. to a report of multiple shots fired between Mitchell Avenue and Duncan Street.

Officers found numerous shell casings in the roadway and a vehicle that had been struck by gunfire.

No injuries were reported.

No one is currently in custody, and the investigation is ongoing.
