Police Chief David Villanueva says officers responded to the 200 block of Pottawatomie Street for an alleged criminal damage to property incident accompanied by criminal threats.
The suspect was identified as 36-year-old Troy Enke.
Villanueva says Enke fled to his residence in the 500 block of South Seventh Street and failed to leave when officers arrived.
