(KNZA)--A traffic stop in Jackson County has led to the arrest of a 45-year-old Holton woman on drug charges.
Jackson County Sheriff Tim Morse says a deputy stopped a Ford Edge Saturday around noon on U.S. Highway 75 near 118th Road, north of Hoyt.
A search of the vehicle turned up suspected methamphetamine, marijuana, digital scales, plastic baggies and drug paraphernalia.
A search of the passenger, Tara Lord, also reportedly found additional suspected methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.
Investigators say further investigation led them to believe Lord was involved in the distribution of methamphetamine.
Morse said the driver was released after investigators determined there was no probable cause for an arrest.
Lord was booked into the Jackson County Jail on charges including methamphetamine distribution and possession, marijuana possession, drug paraphernalia, and using a communication device in the commission of a drug felony.
