(KLZA)--Richardson County Sheriff Rick Hardesty presented a quote last week from First Wireless, Inc. to the Richardson County Commissioners for the replacement of radio equipment damaged during a power outage that occurred during a storm Saturday evening, August 15.

The quote was $8,087.  A claim will be made to the County's insurance carrier to recover part of the cost.

The Board approved the quote for the repair and replacement of the equipment in the networking racks at the Law Enforcement Center. 

The Board met with John Cannon, Executive Director of the Nebraska Association of County Officials during their August 18th meeting.  

Cannon updated the Board on programs, activity and legislation issues the organization is currently involved with and expressed to the Board that NACO is an organization formed by all 93 counties in Nebraska and is a place where county officials can reach out for assistance with questions.
