(KLZA)--The Northwest Missouri Regional Council of Governments is inviting residents, business owners, community stakeholders, and roadway users in the 5-county region of Northwest Missouri to take part in a public comment period for the draft Safe Streets and Roads for All Plan.
The comment period is open August 27 – September 10.
Holt, Atchison, Nodaway, Worth and Gentry County's are included in the organization.
Northwest Missouri Safer Roads is designed to identify transportation safety concerns throughout the 5-county area and prioritize strategies to reduce crashes and prevent serious injuries, improving safety for all roadway users.
An overview of the draft plan will be available to the public to review on the NSWMO RDOG website during the comment period.
Those taking part will also have a chance to participate in an online project ranking exercise.
