(KAIR)--The Northeast Kansas Multi-County Health Department’s Atchison office is now a certified child passenger fitting station.

In a social media post, the department announced that registered nurse Kelli Tucker is a certified child passenger safety technician at its office at 616 Commercial Street in Atchison.

The certification allows families to receive trained assistance with checking whether child safety seats are properly installed and appropriate for the child using them.

The Kansas Traffic Safety Resource Office awarded the fitting station certification August 28.
