(KMZA)--A Wamego teenager was killed in a U-T-V crash early Sunday morning in Pottawatomie County, northeast of Wamego.

The Pottawatomie County Sheriff’s Office identified the victim as 17-year-old Dylan Higgins, who was a passenger in the U-T-V.

The Sheriff’s Office says the U-T-V was eastbound on Old Post Road when the driver attempted to turn south onto Genn Road and lost control shortly before 1:00 a.m.

The driver, 18-year-old Harry Costa of Wamego, was not injured. A second passenger, 16-year-old Emily Crocker of Wamego, suffered minor injuries but was not transported by E-M-S.

The crash remains under investigation.
